Maybe we weren’t slaughtered, but it was just as bad as a slaughter. Nebraska giving up one electoral vote is just one of many examples of the Democrats making significant inroads towards prolonged dominance. Personally, I have seen it happening here in Colorado for the last 4 years. Slowly, but surely, the counties of Colorado are going blue. My own county, Arapahoe County, has been a strong Republican county for years, but went blue this year by a not insignificant margin. And it won’t end this election, unless the Republican party “gets it” and understands why they lost this election. Regardless, it’s going to be a while – likely beyond 2016 – before Republicans even have a chance of regaining any meaningful control.
